Today, we are focused on continuing to grow as a church that ministers to the whole family. By that we mean more than just mom, dad, and the kiddos. We also include grandma, grandpa, and even great-grandma and great-grandpa! One of the characteristics that makes us unique in the modern church era is that we are intentionally multi-generational.
We simply believe that faith is best expressed in the context of a family that includes every living generation. Our senior adults are blessed to see young families bringing their children to church. They enjoy the programs put on by our children and youth, and they are proud to bring their adult children to church when they visit.
Conversely, our little guys get to learn how to respect the generations who have gone before them. They learn that life isn’t all about the young and active, and sometimes we must slow down to allow an older person with a walker to get through a door. The parents of our kiddos are reminded that we have a beautiful campus because of those who supported the work of the church with their time and resources. Our church continues today as we take our place in continuing ministry and support.
It is this beautiful harmony of old & young worshipping and serving the Lord together that makes Rivers a Church for every generation.
