Yes! If each family member fully understands the meaning of baptism, and each one has personally place his/her trust in Christ for salvation, we encourage families to be baptized at the same time. It is a wonderful expression of commitment.

Young children who wish to be baptized can attend a baptism class held regularly throughout the year through Rivers Church Kids.

However, it is important to remember that baptism is a personal statement of faith, not a family tradition. It is usually not wise to delay your baptism while waiting on other family members to accept Christ, particually children. This puts an undue pressure on them and elays your obedience.

We have baptism T-shirts you can wear over your swimsuit or any clothes you feel comfortable in. We also provide chaning rooms, towels, and shorts you can use.

No. At the beginning of the service,

We’re offering you the “Hassle-Free Guarantee.” When you are visiting with us we promise we will not embarrass you, have you stand up, or ask you to give money to our church. We know that many people want to check out the church and “be anonymous” for a while—and that’s fine with us! Come in, enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, and see if Rivers Church is for you.

That’s up to you! You’ll find everything from shorts and flip flops to dress shirts and jackets. Feel free to wear what is comfortable for you, because at Rivers Church it’s not about how you look on the outside.

At least a few hours…we’re kidding. Services will last about 1 hour to 1 hour and 15 minutes.

They are treated with the highest love and care. At Rivers Church, your children are a top priority. Our facilities are clean, safe, and staffed with loving workers, who have undergone a thorough background check. And, we’re not just baby-sitting… while you’re enjoying a great worship experience your kids will be learning important life-lessons, and deepening their understanding about God as well.
